Lighten Up 03:00
I used to think that everything was cut and dry That’s how I wound up all alone If I were you, I wouldn’t go through all of that There’s just one thing you need to know You don’t need to shovel sunshine You don’t need the struggle You don’t need to shovel sunshine, anyways It’s getting late for any miracles or psychic tricks Feels like you’re stuck inside your head Don’t look at me, I’ve got a universe to run up here Just take a look at you instead Yeah, yeah Well, you don’t need to shovel sunshine You don’t need the struggle You don’t need to shovel sunshine, anyways Oh, when you look at the sun It’s shining forever, shining for everyone, yeah When you open your eyes, It's not the first time that it’s shining for everyone Come over, Come over Come over, Come over here, yeah Oh, You don’t need to shovel sunshine You don’t need the struggle You don’t need to shovel sunshine anyways Oh, You don’t need to shovel sunshine You don’t need the struggle You don’t need to shovel sunshine anyways

Nothing New 04:03
Don't want you to figure out my head I want you to wonder Whatever is to be, I'm ready I want you to wonder It’s not too late for us to find our way It’s not too late for us to find our way If love is the answer, come and get it I want you to want it Whatever you've become, it's not enough It's all a lie, it's all a lie. It's not too late for us to find our way It's not too late for us to find out way It's not too late for us to find our way It's not too late for us to find, oh You'd been gone for so long How was I supposed to hold on To what we both were running from You'd you'd been gone for so long So long So long So long Nothing new under the sun, There is nothing new under the sun, at all. Nothing new under the sun, There is nothing new under the sun, at all. It's not too late for us to find our way It's not too late for us to find out way It's not too late for us to find our way It's not too late for us to find...

I think I'm ready to change I can feel it come on Feel it all over me Not that there's anything wrong with whatever I'm doing Whatever I'm trying to say I haven't said it in a real long time Now that it's over the love's not gone Yeah, you should now that love is strong like a rhythm Like a rhythm... Do you remember the words you put up on the wall Writing all over me Not that there's anything wrong with whatever you're thinking Whatever you're trying to say I haven't said it in a real long time Now that it's over the love's not gone Yeah, you should now that love is strong like a rhythm Like a rhythm Say, I haven't said it in a real long time Now that it's over the love's not gone Yeah, you should now that love is strong like a rhythm Like a rhythm In the end, it'll be alright, just think you're having too much fun In the end, every day and night, just think you're having too much fun In the end, it could save you're life, you'd still be having too much fun In the end, I'm afraid you'll never change Say, I haven't said it in a real long time Now that it's over the love's not gone Yeah, you should now that love is strong like a rhythm Like a rhythm Well, I feel so alone, feel so I feel so alone, feel so I feel so alone, feel so I feel so alone, feel so.

You’ve been waiting a long, long time And now you’re ready to go How could you have known it would take so long Well, if you're starting to feel like there's nobody home... You want to be in the know, in the know You want to let it all go, but you won't You want to be in the know, in the know, you'll wonder What if it it’s finally coming, truly? You think it’s finally coming, truly? Bluebonnet jubilee Bluebonnet jubilee You’ve been giving it all away, Now you’ve got no one to blame It’s always the same chorus line Well, if it’s only a tune What's the tune of your mind? Oh, yeah You want to be in the know, in the know You want to let it all go, but you won't You want to be in the know, in the know, you'll wonder What if it it’s finally coming, truly? You think it’s finally coming, truly? Bluebonnet Jubilee, ahhh Bluebonnet Jubilee, ahhh Bluebonnet Jubilee, ahhh Bluebonnet Jubilee What if it it’s finally coming, truly? You think it’s finally coming, truly? Bluebonnet Jubilee, ahhh Bluebonnet Jubilee

Every time I see you, I get excited Every time I see you, I get excited Every time I look at you, I want to die Oh, now you know Every now and then, I hope you notice Every now and then, I hope you notice Every now and then, I hope you realize That you’re not alone The moral of the story The more I see the less I know Am I wasting all my time and then some So, come on baby yeah The feeling’s growing stronger every day We’re not going anywhere We’re not going anywhere We’re not going anywhere We’re not going anywhere If I gotta watch your back don't worry If I gotta watch your back don't worry If gotta watch your back, then let me know But you probably won't If I ever let you down, I’m sorry If I ever let you down, I'm sorry If I ever let you down, then you can go But I hope you don't The moral of the story The more I see the less I know Am I wasting all my time and then some The way that things are going The more I see the less I know Am I wasting all my time and then some So, come on baby yeah The feeling's growing stronger every day We’re not going anywhere We’re not going anywhere We’re not going anywhere We’re not going anywhere We’re not going anywhere.

Real Love goes on Said and done On and on Love goes on Past the sun On and on

released September 30, 2016

Birthday Club is the solo endeavor of Houston, TX based singer-songwriter-producer, Stephen Wells. Summoning an off-kilter incarnation of sun-drenched bedroom pop, Wells swirls together dark and jangly musings with a backdrop of brooding synthesizers. The result has been called “a force to be reckoned with,” by national outlets like Consequence of Sound and has earned several titles like "Best Albums of the Year" from the Houston Press and "Must See Pop of SXSW" from the Austin Chronicle. With a building buzz and major releases planned for 2018 and 2019, it's becoming more and more obvious that this Texas artist is shooting far beyond the humble orbit of Southern hometown roots.

Engineered by:
Erik Wofford (Cacophony Recorders, ATX)
Aaron Bastinelli (Converse Rubber Tracks Head Engineer)
Justin Douglass (Converse Rubber Tracks Engineer/Shine Studios, ATX)

Mixed by Aaron Bastinelli, Brooklyn NY.
